The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

The enactments mentioned in Schedule 1 to this Act shall have effect subject to the amendments there specified (being amendments consequential on the re-enactment of provisions in the consolidation Acts). The transitional provisions, transitory provisions and savings contained in Schedule 2 to this Act shall have effect.

The administration, control, custody and management of the Coastal Zone, and the general administration and implementation of the provisions of this Act are hereby vested in the National Environmental Protection Authority. "Coastal Zone" means the area laying within a limit of twenty five (25) feet landwards of the mean high water line and a limit of two hundred feet seawards of the mean low water line. The Authority shall appoint a Director of Coast Conservation.

The Decision No. 445 of 2010 proclaims the archeological zone A of the city of Elbasan according to the map attached to it and approves the regulation for its administration. The Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports is the responsible authority for its implementation. The regulation lays down rules and procedures regarding the permissible interventions, the archeological findings, and the antics rescue missions.

Implements: Law No. 9048 on cultural heritage. (2003-04-07)

Foreign legal or natural persons may acquire the ownership of real estates, other than arable land or protected natural area, after obtaining the permit of the responsible public administration office of Budapest or the county. The permit has to be issued if the acquisition of ownership by foreign persons does not hurt the local government's or other public interest, and if the buyer does comply with certain requisites. The issuance of a permit may be refused if Hungarian persons are not treated equally, in this regard, to local people in the country of origin of the buyer.
