The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

The aim of this Decision is to transfer from the finance sector to the natural resources and environment sector all tasks and powers of land valuation, dossiers and documents on land valuation and organizations, official and public employees conducting land valuation.
Saxony Space and Land Use Planning Law.
Within the framework of the Federal Land Use Planning Act of 18 August 1997 (BGBl. I p. 2081, 2102), the present Law regulates land use planning in the Free State of Saxony. Article 1 establishes that the whole land of Saxony shall be subject to a sustainable planning policy. The text consists of 24 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Land use plans (2); Regional planning associations (3); Implementation of land use plans (4); Land use planning authorities (5); Final provisions (6).
Regional Law No. 586-OZ amending Regional Law No. 208-OZ “On guarantees of rights of indigenous peoples”.
Article 9 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Councils of representatives of indigenous peoples can be set up on a voluntary basis by the Regional Government for protection of rights and legal interests of indigenous peoples”.
