Een verkennend onderzoek onder landeigenaren naar hun houding en gedrag ter attentie van Nationale Landschappen (NL). Hiervoor zijn 36 interviews gehouden met landeigenaren (agrariërs, terreinbeheerders, recreatieondernemers, landeigenaren en buitenlui) in acht NL (Achterhoek, Graafschap, Groene Woud, Hoeksche Waard, Noord- Hollands Midden, Noordelijke Wouden, IJsseldelta, Zuidwest-Zeeland).

Cholinesterase (ChE) enzyme activity measurements are widely applied in aquatic organisms for water quality monitoring, especially for pesticide contamination in agricultural watersheds. These biomarkers are amenable to measurement in a variety of species, and are therefore useful for examining effects in model organisms relevant to the ecosystem of interest.

In 2003 we conducted a study to determine the consequences of feral hog (Sus scrofa) invasions in several ecoregions of Texas. We examined the observations, experiences, and actions of landowners and managers concerning feral hogs on their property. We used purposive sampling of landowners and managers who fit 1 or more of 3 selection criteria.

Forest landowner decisions and the value of information under fire risk

We estimate the value of three types of information about fire risk to a nonindustrial forest landowner: the relationship between fire arrival rates and stand age, the magnitude of fire arrival rates, and the efficacy of fuel reduction treatment. Our model incorporates planting density and the level and timing of fuel reduction treatment as landowner decisions.
