This Memorandum Circular amends Section 180.D of the DENR Manual on Land Survey Procedures.

Decision No.1197 dated 3.12.2009 proclaims the Tirana Castle Archaeological Zone “A” and approves the regulation for its administration.

This Act makes provision for the establishment of the Namibian Council for Professional Land Surveyors, Technical Surveyors and Survey Technicians and for the registration of practitioners by the Registrar of the Council and regulates their qualification, professional conduct and practice.

This Act amends the Communal Land Reform Act so as to: insert a definition of “local authority area”; to substitute the definitions of “Minister” and “Permanent Secretary”; and to modify a reference to specified land in Schedule 1.

The Decision proclaims as A Archeological Zone the area of Gradishte, Selce at Progradeci District and approves the regulation for its administration. Detailed geographical coordinates are further defined and the map is attached to the Decision.

This Act makes provision for calculation, imposition and collection of a tax on the property of land and other rights in land, including land covered with water and agricultural land. The Board of Inland Revenue shall prepare a roll of all lands liable to tax under this Act. Objections to assessments by the Board shall be referred by the Board to the Commissioner of Valuations.
