These Regulations concern forest land management and related taxation. They describe the procedure for the assessment of taxes, exemptions, reporting requirements, planning and refunds of overpayment and provide for the “certificate of managed land” (sect. 17).
The Act provides for the conservation and efficient use of of land, forest and water resources in the Province of Alberta. It provides for the establishment of the Conservation and Utilization Committee to inform and recommend measures to the Lieutenant Governor in Council (LGC).
This Act, among other things, redefines "acts of development", amends provisions relative to community areas agreements and inserts various new sections.
This Act and the regulations apply to all land within the boundaries of any forest reserves established pursuant to this Act.
