The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

These Regulations aim at implementing the special protection of the basic farmland and promoting the development of agricultural production and the national economy. "Basic farmland" means cultivated land which is determined in accordance with the demand of the population of agricultural products, the needs of the national economy, as well as a forecast of the use of land for construction for specified period of time, and which shall not be occupied for other uses for a long term, or within the specified protective period.

Le présent décret fixe la procédure de reconnaissance de droits acquis sur le domaine public hydraulique. Ce texte définit la composition et le fonctionnement du cadre institutionnel de cette procédure. Ce décret abroge les dispositions de l'arrêté du 11 moharrem 1344 (1er août 1925) relatif à l'application du dahir du 11 moharrem 1344 (1er août 1925) sur le régime des eaux, en ce qui concerne la reconnaissance des droits de propriété, d'usage ou d'usufruit sur le domaine public hydraulique.

Le présent décret porte création des services régionaux et sub-régionaux des domaines et du cadastre. Il est créé, au niveau de chaque Région Administrative et du District de Bamako, un service régional dénommé Direction Régionale des Domaines et du Cadastre., chargée de: - appliquer la réglementation relative au domaine, au cadastre, à la propriété foncière; - coordonner l'activité de tous les services de base relevant de son autorité; - centraliser l'ensemble des opérations de ses services.
Regulations for Favorable Rentals Regarding Public Land Lease and Superficies in Infrastructure Projects.
These Regulations are enacted according to the “Act for promotion of private participation in infrastructure projects”, aiming to promote civil participation in public land lease in infrastructure projects. The Regulations consist of 5 Articles.Article 1 establishes the favorable rentals regarding public land lease in infrastructure projects. If the public land use plan cannot be completed, not due to the fault of the private institution, the government authority can reduce or grant late payment (art.4).
Carinthia Sewage Sludge and Compost Ordinance.
The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the treatment of sewage sludge, biogenic waste, biowaste, and green waste on agricultural land. The text consists of 13 articles dealing with definition of terms, treatment of biogenic waste and sewage sludge, requirements of biogenic waste to be used on agricultural land, bringing into circulation, and entry into force. Seven Annexes are enclosed.
