Location

The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Act provides for the establishment and constitution of Central Planning Authority and the establishment of the Development Control Board for purposes of control on development of land and the planning of development in the Cayman Islands. The Act also concerns acquisition and disposal of land for planning purposes. The Board or the Authority, as the case may be, shall assess and grant permission for proposed development. The Act also establishes an Infrastructure Fund and contains some provisions relative to development on the foreshore.

Point 26 of the paragraph 1 of the Article 9 is supplemented with the expression "land survey/mapping practices". Point 45 of the paragraph 1 of the Article 9 acquires a new wording. It reads as follows "formal acceptance, storage and processing of cereals and the by-products of their processing at grain-elevators". Paragraph 1 of the Article 12 is supplemented with the following sentence: "Export and import of some commodities (produce and service) are subject to obligatory licensing".

This Regional Decree establishes the modalities of performance of municipal land control by local government. Municipal land control shall be conducted in the form of ordinary and extraordinary inspections of legal persona and individual entrepreneurs. The subject of inspection shall be checking data and information contained in the documentation related to land tenure. The scope of inspection shall be to control compliance by land tenant with compulsory legislative requirements related to land tenure. Municipal land control shall be performed in accordance with the annual plans.
