The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

The present Regulations enforces provisions of the Cooperatives Act by prescribing forms and by regulating more in detail various matters mainly relating to internal organization and procedures of cooperative societies including registration; records of a co-operative society; membership and meeting of members; management and financial matters; and arbitration and other dispute resolution.

The present Act provides for the continuation of the Heritage Manitoba as a body corporate consisting of the members of the board and such other persons as may become members pursuant to the by-laws. Section 9 establishes that the objects of the Foundation are, inter alia, to receive, acquire by purchase, donation o lease, and to hold, preserve, maintain or construct, restore and manage property both real and personal of historical, architectural, recreational, aesthetic or scenic interest for the use, enjoyment and benefit of the people of Manitoba. The text consists of 18 sections.

Regional Law No. 19-Z amending Regional Law No. 48-Z “On regulation of relations in the sphere of turnover of agricultural land”.

Article 1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Privatization of agricultural land plots pertaining to regional or municipal public ownership shall be performed in accordance with Land Code and federal legislation three years after entry into force of this Regional Law”.

This Act establishes rules concerning the production, storage, purchase, sale or other transfer, distribution, promotion, import and export of all products intended for soil fertilizers. These products must comply with quality standards and not have detrimental effects on human, animal or plant health or the environment and shall not constitute a risk to public safety.It consists of 4 Chapters: Defining rules for fertilizer and soil conditioners (1); Administrative provisions (2); Penal Provisions (3); Entry into force (4).
