The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Act establishes the National Water Supply and Sanitation Council ("Council") as a body corporate, defines its functions, provides with respect to its administration and provides with respect to water supply and sanitation at a local level by a water supply and sanitation utility established by a local authority or service providers, i.e. any person who provides water supply or sanitation services.

This Decree-Law establishes that land use plannings must be regulated according to environmental impact assessment program. It consists of 11 articles and 3 annexes defining requirements to be met for projects' approval. This Decree-Law also lays down all information to be done for obtaining a project approval and prescribes sanctions to be paid by offenders.

These Regulations amend the Environmental Impact Assessment (Uncultivated Land and Semi-natural Areas) (Wales) Regulations 2002 so as to implement Directive 2003/35/EC providing for public participation in certain environmental decision making. Amendments concern, among other things, disclosure of environmental information, assessment of projects and requirements relating to projects in Wales which may affect the environment in other EEA States and vice versa.
