This Regional Act aims at the protection and improvement of agricultural lands in the Veneto Region, giving particular attention to abandoned agricultural lands. The objective is to prevent soil degradation, reducing forest fires and ensuring hydrogeological balance.

The purpose of the present Act is to define planning measures of the Canton and local authorities with a view to the conservation of agricultural land. The reduction of agricultural land shall be carried out only in exceptional cases and shall be compensated by the planning authority.
