Showing items 1 through 9 of 9.This Decree amends the Land Transfer Act in section 159 by adding 8 new subsections in relation with the registration of an easement over a subdivisional lot by the Registrar and compensation or legal proceedings in relation with a decision of the Registrar to register such easement.
This Decree amends the Native Lands Act by replacing in the Act and all subsidiary legislation made under the Act the word "native" with the word "i Taukei".
An order by the Board under section l9(1) allotting or otherwise dealing with land vested in the Board under that section must be transmitted to the Native Lands Commission which must register the allotment or dealing in the Register of Native Lands.
Lands marked out and defined under subsection (1) of section 19 must be: (a) declared by the Minister by Notice in the Gazette to be vacant lands under the control of the Board; and (b) dealt with in all respects as native lands.
This Act provides for a wide variety of matters relating to land, land use rights, transfer of land, etc.
This Act provides for various aspects relative to dealings in land in Rotuma and provides for the appointment of the Rotuma Lands Commission. The Commission shall ascertain (traditional) land rights, resolve disputes relative to land rights, demarcate land and register land rights (sect. 4).
Section 4 of the principal Act is amended in subsection (1) by adding "or for the benefit of the native Fijians". Section 19a concerns allotment of extinct mataqali lands.
Amendments relative to the allotment of all extinct mataqali land in accordance with the provisions of the Native Land Trust (Amendment) Act.
This instrument of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji assigns to Attorney General and Minister for Finance, Public Enterprises, Civil Service and Communications, the responsibility for the conduct of the specified Government business, departments and written laws.
