Showing items 1 through 9 of 10.The provisions of this Act shall apply only to land, interests in land, or dealings in land, registered under this Act. This Act sets forth organization, administration, duties, authorities and responsibilities of the Land Registry and registrars.
This Act amends the principal Act with respect to modification of the Adjudication Record (sect. 7), to special powers of the Demarcation Officer (sect. 12) and to appeal against decisions of the Adjudication Officer (sects. 15, 17 and 20).
The 28 sections of the Act are divided into 6 Parts: Preliminary and Application (I); Officers (II); Claims and Demarcation (III); Principles of Adjudication and Preparation of Adjudication Record (IV); Objections and Finality (V); Miscellaneous (VI).
The Development Control Authority is established under section 3.
The Ordinance makes provision for the survey and disposal of crown lands, registration of grants or lease of crown lands and for the protection of crown lands from illegal acts. All power and authority in respect of survey and disposal of crown lands shall be vested in the Governor in Council.
