Cooperation between Nauru and FAO has been ongoing since the Pacific Island Country joined the Organization in 2001. Over the past 14 years, FAO assistance has focused on supporting local food production to achieve improved health, food security and sustainable agricultural development.
Tokelau joined the Organization as an Associate Member in 2011. Over the past few years, FAO assistance to the Pacific Island Territory has contributed to the sustainable management of natural resources and food security.
