This Chapter of the Code of Virginia concerns coastal primary sand dunes and beaches. It provides that the Marine Resources Commission shall preserve and protect coastal primary sand dunes and beaches and prevent their despoliation and destruction.
The High Commissioner may declare, by Proclamation, any area of land to be a national park under section 3, and may acquire private land with the area declared to be a national park pursuant to section 4. Sections 5 and 6 place restrictions on residence in parks.
