This Ordinance sets forth the updated version of the Code of Good Agricultural Practice. The creation of this Code comes along with the implementation of Council Directive 91/676/EEC on the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources.
This Code of Good Agricultural Practice addresses issues related to the protection of waters affected by nitrate pollution deriving from agricultural sources.
In the process of harmonizing the Cypriot legislation with the environmental legislative framework of the European Union, this law sets forth the basic provisions for the protection of water resources and soil against polution.
With this Ordinance, the Code of Good Agricultural Practice is hereby created. The creation of this Code comes along with the implementation of Council Directive 91/676/EEC on the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources.
