These Regulations of the Cabinet Secretary implement provisions of the Land Registration Act in respect of the organization and administration of land registries, the procedures for the registration of land, and related matters.
This Order of the Cabinet Secretary implements provisions of the Land Registration Act in respect to the establishment and operation of land registration units as constituted under section 6 (l) of the Act. The Cabinet Secretary establishes registration units as set out in the First Schedule.
The Act principally concerns the registration of interests in land.
This Act makes provision for a wide variety of matters regarding public and private land and community land (as defined respectively by Articles 62, 63, 64 and 260 of the Constitution), and in particular provides of the sustainable administration and management of land and land-based resources.
This Act provides for the validity of mortgages or charges made in Kenya by delivery to a person or his agent of a document or documents of title to immovable property, with intent to create a security thereon.
This Act makes provision for the administration of the adjudication of any area of Trust land designated by the Minister.
These Rules implement selected provisions of the Registered Land Act. They define the form of the register in the First Schedule and the form of a title deed and a certificate of lease in the Second Schedule.
These Rules prescribe forms for purposes of the Registration of Titles Act. The fees payable in all matters connected with the forms mentioned in rules 2 and 3 wherever applicable of the principal Rules shall be those prescribed by the Minister in the Gazette.
These Rules prescribe in the Schedule forms that shall be used in all cases under Part X of the Government Lands Act.
