This Resolution subjects the comprehending areas of the Castelo de Bode dam to preventive measures.

These Regulations prohibit the use of lead shot for shooting with a shotgun: (a) on or over any area below the high-water mark; (b) on or over the sites of special scientific interest included in Schedule 1 to the Regulations; or (c) any wild bird included in Schedule 2 to the Regulations namely ducks and geese (all species of each), coot and moorhen (regulation 3).

These Rules have been enacted by the Minister in accordance with section 69 of the Land Acquisition Act 1960 which makes provision in matter of acquisition of land by the State Authority for public purposes and for other purposes relating to the economic development of Malaysia. The First Schedule attached contains the forms of the application for acquisition of land.

This Regulation establishes that conservation of degraded agricultural land means temporary putting out of use thereof for the period of five years for the purpose of soil rehabilitation. It establishes basic principles for identification of degraded agricultural land, the modalities of exposure thereof and provisions for soil improvement and rehabilitation.

The present Regulations enact section 29 of the Oil and Gas Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to oil and gas issues. For the purpose of the Regulations, “lease” means an oil and gas lease issued under Part 2 of the Act.
