This Decision approves the master plan on the socio-economic development of Thua Thien-Hue province.The master plan aims at building the province into a centrally run city and a big and typical cultural, tourist, scientific-technological, intensive healthcare, high quality multi-discipline education-training centre of the whole country.The main objectives of the plan include: development of agriculture, forestry and fishery; protection, development and rational exploitation of forest resources; sustainable protection and development of the environment and of natural resources; control of environmental pollution; protection of coastal flood plain forests and lagoon ecology; development of water supply, drainage and irrigation systems; and land use and urban planning.
