This Act provides for the control of the practice of town planner and for this and other purposes establishes the Town Planners Registration Council, the Town Planners Disciplinary Tribunal and the Town Planners Investigating Panel. "Town planning" in this Act means town and country planning for the improvement of the human environment. The Council shall be charged with, among other things: (a) determining the qualification of town planners for the purposes of this Act; (b) securing the establishment and maintenance of a register of persons entitled to practice as town planners; and (c) regulating and controlling the practice of the profession of town planner. The Minister may give directions to the Council.
