The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Decree establishes the modalities of estimate and calculation of rates of permissible impact on protected areas in the process of performance of tourism, recreational and healthcare activities. The scope of determination of rates of permissible impact shall be conservation of ecosystems, biological diversity and landscape diversity of protected areas. The aforesiad rates shall be established by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection at the suggestion of state bodies managing protected areas.

La presente Ley regula las condiciones básicas que garantizan la igualdad en el ejercicio de los derechos y en el cumplimiento de los deberes constitucionales relacionados con el suelo; asimismo establece las bases económicas y medioambientales de su régimen jurídico, su valoración y la responsabilidad patrimonial de la administraciones pública en la materia.
Ministerial Decree No. 1397 regarding damages for harm caused to agriculture and forestry by the allotment of land.
This Ministerial Decree required the valuation of damages for harm caused to agricultural land and forests by the allotment of land. Natural and legal persons who were allotted plots of agricultural or forestland to increase their suitability for agricultural production and afforestation shall be pay compensation for losses to agricultural or forest production at an annual rate of four percent of the estimated total damages.
Regional Law No. 26-RZ amending Regional Law No. 70-Z “On turnover of agricultural land”.
Article 6.1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Plot of agricultural land allotted on lease on condition of permanent (open-ended) land tenure as a result of renewal of lease contract or renewal of the right of hereditary possession of such land with the right of lease can be purchased in ownership by lease holder at the cost of 15 percent of cadastre value of such plot of land”.
