Afghanistan’s Women’s Network

AWN

After the United Nation Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China, where a group of women from various organizations and agencies of the United Nation participated; the theory to form a network for the Afghan women's cooperation and integration developed. With inspire from women's movement in different part of the world; finally, in 1995 participants (women) of the conference decided to establish Afghan Women Network (AWN).

Afghanistan Women Council (AWC) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profit, non-sectarian Charity Organization founded in 1986 by the efforts of Ms. Fatana Ishaq Gailani and a group of Afghan women with an aim to assist Afghan women and children. The predominant objective of the organization is to enlighten women, improve their living conditions and strengthen their socio-economic status in society by their multi-lateral involvement in development activities. AWC is registered with the Government of Pakistan and Afghanistan as a charity NGO.

Asian Indigenous Women's Network

The Asian Indigenous Women’s Network wants to support, sustain and help consolidate the various efforts of indigenous women in Asia to critically understand the roots of their marginalized situation and to empower themselves by becoming aware of their rights as women and as indigenous peoples, and by developing their own organizations or structures for empowerment.

Its membership category are District networks, which are clusters of women’s Community Based Organisations (CBOs), Faith Based Organisations (FBOs) and NGOs, national NGOs, nationally registered FBOs and women’s professional bodies.

Collectif des Femmes du Mali is one of the oldest non-governmental organization in Mali. Since its creation in 1991, this organization set a goal to fight for the empowerment of women of the country.   

At the beginning, the women who created this group had for goals to raise awareness among women about the necessity to empower and organize themselves; and make women understand that they can influence, and change their life condition.

CAFO

  La CAFO s'est constituée en ONG en mars 1992. Elle regroupe aujourd'hui la majorité des associations féminines maliennes, plus de 2222 organismes, et possède des cellules et des représentantes dans dix quartiers de la capitale et des bureaux décentralisés dans les autres régions du pays. Le nombre de membres augmente chaque année, car de plus en plus, les associations présentes au niveau local viennent se faire enregistrer.

Grain de sel est la revue semestrielle d’Inter-réseaux Développement rural. Chaque numéro est consacré à une thématique précise et vise à faire participer aux débats et réflexions autour de ce thème une diversité d’acteurs et de points de vue. Elle est diffusée à plus de 5000 exemplaires en version papier et envoyée par mail à plus de 10 000 abonnés.

Además, continuamos con el fortalecimiento de las capacidades de nuestras bases en derechos humanos colectivos e individuales, particularmente en territorio, consulta y consentimiento previo, libre e informado y erradicación de todas las formas de racismo, violencia y discriminación. También hemos aportado a la elaboración de informes alternativos a organismos de la ONU.
