This country report covers the overall situation of forest resources in Guinea-Bissau. The report includes an introduction covering the main aspects of forest resources in the country. The first part gives some general information about what forest resources are available giving some details about the types of vegetation, biodiversity, etc. The second part of the report covers the vegetation coverage according to the national classification. The third part is a comparison between the national classification and that of FRA 2000 followed by a fourth part giving an insight on forest plantations designed for roundwood production. The following parts are estimations of annual growth, principal species, productivity figures, planted surfaces, fuelwood needs, etc.
