I am Postgraduate research student at the University of Leeds – Sustainability Research Institute investigating land tenure transformation policies, rangeland subdivisions and associated impacts on pastoral systems in Botswana’s semi-arid fringes of the Okavango Delta. My research interest focuses on governance of environmental resources in drylands; institutions for management of resources held and used communally, in particular, land and water. This also include the use of geospatial technologies such as GIS to monitor and analyse impacts of policies in communal areas. I am also interested in issues affecting development and natural resources access by minority communities and their adaptations to environmental, climate and policy changes.
