This Regulation consisting of 19 articles aims to regulate provisions on short-term and long-term plans to combat the harmful effects of dust in the country. The Regulation establishes the Committee to Combat Dust under the supervision of the Department of Environment. In order to determine main internal and external resources of dust and to predict and timely notify this phenomenon, Department of Environment and Meteorological Organization should equip all weather monitoring stations to the quality monitoring system and the early warning system.In order to decrease the harmful impacts of dust as well as to mitigate the effects of drought and water shortage in the country, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Organization in collaboration with this Committee should plant seedling, trees and meadows in the areas mostly exposed to dust and water scarcity. In order to reduce soil erosion and desertification, the Ministry of Agriculture is obliged to prepare the comprehensive plan for rehabilitation of agricultural lands and development of forestry.The Ministry of Health should develop and equip health centres to prevent and treat affected citizens in the areas exposed to dust. Municipalities of the cities affected by dust should expand green areas of these cities. In order to preserve the domestic resources of dust and prevent their expansion, the Planning and Management Organization should implement the land use planning program in the country. In order to determine and control external resources of the dust, the Department of Environment should increase international cooperation with neighbouring states.
