These Rules provide for matters relative to proceedings of arbitration and appeal to the Supreme Court as provided for in the Acquisition of Land Act 1970. Matters regulated include such the place of arbitration, hearings, notice of filing of appeal and procedures of hearing at the Court. The Rules also set out principles applicable to determination of value of land.

The forms set out in the Schedule hereto or forms substantially to the like effect shall be the forms used for the purpose of Part III of the Acquisition of Land Act 1970 [title 19 item 2], in the cases to which those forms are applicable.

These Regulations prescribe that any compensation agreed or awarded for land of which possession is taken by the Minister under the authority vested in him by section 8(1) of the Acquisition of Land Act 1970 [title 19 item 2], shall carry interest from the date of entry until compensation is paid or paid into court in accordance with that Act at the rate of 7 percent per annum.

The Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano are hereby empowered to exercise functions in matter of small cultivated areas, hunting, fisheries, apiculture, forestry and wildlife protection. Supreme Soviet decrees that Land Code is applicable to relations originating after entry into force of Land Code, i.e. beginning from the 15th of March 1991. Land Code is applicable to relations originating before the 15th of March 1991, i.e. before entry into force of Land Code, as regards to rights and duties that would originate after entry into force of Land Code.
