For the purpose of the present Act “Flood Agreement” means the agreement concerning the flooding of land concluded between: a) Her Majesty in right of Canada, b) Her Majesty in right of Manitoba, c) the Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board, and d) the Northern Flood Committee, Inc. signed on 16 December 1977. In particular, the Act lays down provisions relating to payments to first nations as compensation for flooding on lands. Furthermore, the Act deals with the establishment of reserves on behalf of first nations. The text consists of 13 sections divided into 2 Parts as follows: Norway House Cree nation flooded land (1); Reserve establishment (2).
