The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

National Agency to Promote the Participation of Eritrean Citizens in the Ownership of Public Enterprises Establishment Proclamation (No. 171/2012).
This Proclamation establishes the National Agency to Promote the Participation of Eritreans in the Ownership of Public Enterprises, defines its functions and powers and provides with respect to its administration. The Agency shall undertake, implement and ensure the participation of Eritreans living in Eritrea and abroad in national economic development activities through the direct transfer of ownership of Small Public Enterprises or of shares in Public Enterprises converted into share companies.

The present Regulation enforces the Surveys Act (R.S.O. 1990, c. S.30). In particular, the Regulation repeals the Ontario Co-ordinate System Regulation (R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 1028) dealing with a survey made for the purpose of establishing the location of points on the surface of the earth by geographic or grid co-ordinates. Administrative measures for the examination and approval of the use of forest land for construction projects.
The purpose of these Measures is to strengthen the protection and management of forest lands, rationally develop and utilize forest land resources and promote the development of ecological forestry. The Measures consist of 29 articles.The Measures provide for the procedures and requirements for the use of forest land for construction projects. Total amount control and quota management shall be carried out on forest land to be occupied by construction projects.
Environment Protection Act (No. 358 of 1991).
The purpose of the Act is to help to protect nature and environment in order for society to develop on a sustainable and to preserve animal and plant life. It applies to all activities in relation to pollution, such as deployment of solid, liquid or gaseous substances; air, water, noise, soil and subsoil pollution; husbandry, pests and other factors causing hygienic problems to the environment.
