The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Regulation prescribes the maximum surface of agricultural land area, owned by the Croatian Republic, that can be sold to a natural or legal subject.Maximum size of the agricultural land owned by the Croatian Republic which can be sold to a individual natural or legal person is 200 ha.

Article 5 shall be amended to add the following wording: “In case of sale of plots of agricultural land Regional Administration shall have preferential right of purchase thereof at face value, except for cases of public auction sale and expropriation of plot of land for public or municipal needs”.

Article 3 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Plenary powers of the regional state executive bodies in the sphere of protected areas shall be extended to decision-making related to reservation of land with a view of constituting therein protected areas with subsequent land expropriation and restriction of economic activities”.
