These Regulations prescribe the procedure to be followed for an inquiry to be conducted by an inspector into the provisions of a new or replacement Development Plan, Subject Plan, Local Planning Brief or for amendments thereto prepared by the Environment Department pursuant to the Land Planning and Development (Guernsey) Law, 2005 and the Land Planning and Development (Plans) Ordinance, 2007. They also make provision for the appointment and functions of the Inquiry Administration who shall assist the inspector with the administration of the inquiry and define powers of the inspector.
Glasshouse Control (Prohibition and Prescribed Maximum Area) Ordinance, 1961 (No. XXII of 1961).
This Ordinance of prohibits the erection of glasshouses in Guernsey by any person, other than the States and prescribe thee maximum area allowed for the erection of glasshouses for purposes of the Glasshouse Control Law, 1936.
Coast Protection Ordinance, 1949 (No. XII of 1949).
This Ordinance provides for the protection of the coast of Guernsey. It prohibits the taking of material or breaking of rocks on the coastline without a permit of the States Board of Administration. The Board may attach to the grant of a permit under this section such conditions (including a condition that the permit shall only be operative during such period as shall be therein specified) as it may deem necessary or expedient.
Land Planning and Development (Exemptions) Ordinance, 2007.
This Ordinance, made under the Land Planning and Development (Guernsey) Law, 2005, specifies development exempt from planning permission required for the carrying out of any development under the Law. Exemptions concern, among other things, clearing of trees for maintenance purposes, development in water treatment areas and fencing of agricultural land.

Land Planning and Development (Special Controls) Ordinance, 2007.
This Ordinance, made under sections 29(3) and (4), 31(2) and (3), 33(4) to (6), 35(2), 43(5), 81 and 89 of the Land Planning and Development (Guernsey) Law, 2005, concerns special development control for protected monuments and buildings and protected trees. The Ordinance, among other things, defines the content of Tree Protection Orders and the effect of such Orders and sets out procedures after the making of an Order and in respect of confirmation of an Order. A register of Tree Protection Orders shall be kept by the States of Guernsey Environment Department.
