What we do
Our inspired and committed experts support various parties worldwide in creating inclusive and sustainable food systems within five action lines:
-
Managing for Sustainable Development Impact: Making informed decision
Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation uses its Managing for Sustainable Development Impact approach across a range of sectors and domains in a variety of food system related contexts. We also aim to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.
-
Guiding Sector Transformation: inclusive, effective and sustainable
A well-performing agri-food sector requires a strong base of well-organised and professional producers; a strong market demand for the produce; well-established services along the value chain; and evolving governance structures. Dealing with the complexity of sector transformation and connecting different building blocks of the sector, we apply a range of concepts, approaches, models and tools.
-
Facilitating Stakeholder Collaboration: Partnerships that work
The staff of Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation have direct experience in facilitating stakeholder collaboration in many countries in the world, and at different levels – from local to global. We help our partners get the right people involved and enable them to jointly agree on actions, based on sound analysis and dialogue.
-
Strengthening Strategic Leadership: A new approached based on experience
At Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation we believe leadership involves people playing a clear and inspiring role from the position they hold towards a shared vision of sustainable and inclusive change. A change that can be necessary at an individual, institutional and system level.
-
Fostering Lifelong Learning: Investing in people
Our lifelong learning approach is developed for institutions and professionals that want to invest in their capacities and leadership skills to be creative, adaptive and responsive to the dynamics of a rapidly changing world. We combine knowledge of practical situations on the ground with new insights and approaches.
