Nepal

Nepal es un pequeño país sin salida al mar situado entre India y China. En los últimos años, dos acontecimientos han tenido una gran repercusión en la cuestión de la tierra en Nepal. En primer lugar, el conflicto de 1996-2006 para derrocar a la monarquía y establecer una República Popular. Entre otros impactos, la guerra desplazó a cientos de miles de personas, provocó la emigración de muchos jóvenes y la nueva estructura de gobierno del país a partir de 2006, organizada en siete provincias. En segundo lugar, dos graves terremotos en 2015 que mataron a 8.700 personas, hirieron a 25.000, destruyeron medio millón de viviendas y dejaron otras 265.000 temporalmente inhabitables.
