Notification in statute:

From the preamble: "Considering that the UN document titled “Guiding Principles on Internally Displaced Persons” establishes the general principles governing the treatment of internally displaced persons; Given that Angola is a country with high numbers of internally displaced persons resettling and returning to their areas of origin; Having found it necessary to establish the rules governing the resettlement process under the terms of the provisions of paragraph (f) of Article 112 and Article 113, both of the Constitutional Law, the Government decrees the following"

"Whenever the Chief Executive in Council decides that the resumption of any land is required for a public purpose, the Chief Executive may order the resumption thereof under this Ordinance"

Article 1 - Objectives: "This decree defines principles, rules, and measures to mitigate adverse social impacts and to compensate damages that result from involuntary acquisition or repossession of land and fixed or movable assets, including change in land use, restriction of access to community or natural resources affecting community livelihood and income sources.

This decree aproves the General Regulation for Land Concesion in Angola.

This Regulations aims at doing a good job in the land requisition compensation and resettlement of migrants for large and medium water conservation and hydropower construction projects, maintaining the legitimate rights and interests of migrants and ensuring the smooth construction of the projects.

"The national land law acknowledges and upholds the public rights to land and objects related to land, and confers the public powers on the state through powers to make regulation, make policy, manage, and exercise and make supervision as stated in the fundamentals of the Acquisition of Land"

This was Kenya's law on expropriation from 2010-2012 - it was repealed by the 2012 Land Act.
