O objetivo deste artigo reside na análise do caso do Jardim Botânico da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, onde, ao longo do tempo, se instalou a Comunidade do Horto, por meio de ocupações consolidadas em área da União Federal. A questão encontra-se judicializada ea partir de processos iniciados nos anos 1980 (nos quais a própria União é parte autora) que visaram à retirada dos moradores.
O presente trabalho tem como propósito refletir sobre a questão da identidade do sujeito de Os cus de Judas, de Lobo Antunes, a partir do momento em que há um deslocamento espacial do narrador-personagem. Em tempos de guerra colonial, tal deslocamento para o continente africano faz com que o sujeito da narrativa se depare com o outro; isso reflete em sua existência provocando uma crise de identidade a partir da qual ele passa a questionar sua nacionalidade, sua pátria.

The Ta’ang Students and Youth Organization (TSYO) released a report today called “Pipeline Nightmare” that illustrates how the Shwe Gas and Oil Pipeline project, which will transport oil and gas across Burma to China, has resulted in the confiscation of people’s lands, forced labor, and increased military presence along the pipeline, affecting thousands of people.

northern Shan State have displaced over 2,000 Palaung villagers from
fifteen villages in three townships since March 2011. About 1,000,
mainly women and children, remain in three IDP settlements in Mantong

most of the rest have dispersed to find work in China.
