This Act consists of 6 articles regulating the acquisition of small rural estates through usucapion. As provided for in article 2, the provisions contained in article 1159-bis of the Civil Code relating to usucapion shall apply to agricultural lands as well. Article 3 defines the procedure for obtaining the recognition of ownership rights.

This Act lays down provisions relating to agrarian contracts, giving particular regard to lease and sharecropping. The Act is divided into three different Titles. Title I regulates lease of agricultural lands and sets out detailed rules in matter of duration (the minimum duration is up to fifteen years), tacit renewal, withdrawal and annulment.

The purpose of the present Act is to confer power upon the Court of Queen’s Bench respecting actions founded upon certain contracts affecting land. The text – consisting of 7 sections – deals with the following matters: leave required to commence action, discretionary powers of court in actions, agreements waiving Act null and void and exemption.

The purpose of the present Act is to provide for the acquisition of land required for the rehabilitation of drought and soil drifting areas. Section 3 establishes that the Minister may, by surveyors, engineers, foremen, agents, workmen and servants, enter upon and take possession of any land, in whomsoever vested, that may be required for or in connection with any project.

This Act concerns the development of tenantries, i.e. an area of land, including public land, subdivided before a specified date into lots for letting for specified purposes. “Tenantry” does not include land adjoining the foreshore. The Minister may design tenantries for purposes of this Act, but only if there are not sufficient on the tenantry including water supply and sewage disposal.

This Act places restrictions on trespass by persons on property.

This Act provides for the control of tenantries, i.e. an area of land, including public land, subdivided before a specified date into lots for letting for specified purposes. Division or sale of a tenantry requires the permission of the Chief Town Planner.

The Act empowers the planning authorities to prepare development plans in order to ensure sustainable development of land. This Act shall apply to any area designated by the Minister by Notice in the Gazette. The Act establishes the Town and Country Planning Board. The Planning Authority shall prepare a development plan in respect of any area to which this Act applies.

This Act grants powers to Parish Councils to abate nuisances such as dangerous buildings and structures on private land and holds the owner of such land to be liable for the payment of the costs of such operation. The Council may, in case the nuisance is not abated, apply to court for a conditional sale of the land upon which the nuisance exists.

This Act makes provision for the conservation, use, management and control of land situated in mountain catchment areas. "Mountain catchment area" means any area declared by the Minister or competent authorities of provinces under section 2 to be a mountain catchment area.

This Act concerns the administration of real estate and personal property of a deceased person by an administrator or executor by will. The Act also makes provision for the distribution of estates under intestate and other administration or disposal of assets. The Administrator and Registrar General shall initiate the procedure for Letters of Administration.
