The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979 (Cap. 49).
This Act concerns the protection of ancient monuments and also provides with respect to acquisition and guardianship of land in the vicinity of an ancient monument and other easements and other similar rights to protection of monuments affecting such land. The Act also concerns monuments in territorial waters of the UK.
Enforcement Rules of the Land Tax Act.
These Enforcement Rules, consisting of 63 Articles divided into 5 Chapers, are enacted pursuant to the provisions of Article 58 of the Land Tax Act. The Enforcement Rules provides for the land value tax (Chapter 2), the agricultural land tax (Chapter 3) and land value increment tax (Chapter 4).
