The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of carrying out supervision over land tenure and land protection by the officials of the State Property Committee provincial land-surveying and geodetic services. Supervision shall be carried out in the form of inspections in accordance with the authorization (Annex 2) issued by the supervising authority. Inspections shall be carried out by the officials within their competence in observance of requirements set by legislation on land protection and land tenure.
Ley Nº 242 - Ley de Reservas Agrícolas en los terrenos comprendidos dentro del Corredor Agrícola de la Costa Sur de Puerto Rico
La presente Ley declara reconoce la agricultura como una actividad de vital importancia para el bienestar económico de Puerto Rico y declara como política pública el reservar para uso agrícola los terrenos comprendidos dentro del Corredor Agrícola de la Costa Sur, que cumplan con estos propósitos. Asimismo, dispone la creación del Registro de Titulares de todas las fincas identificadas, en el cual se indicarán los datos de los titulares de las fincas comprendidas en el Corredor.

Land Commission Act of 2008.
This Act provides with respect to the administration, structure, operations, powers, responsibilities and (additional) functions of the National Land Commission established immediately upon passing of this Act. The Commission shall be independent from the Government and shall propose, advocate and coordinate land reform policies, legislation and programmes in Liberia.
