The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Regional Law No. 38-RZ amending Regional Law No. 37-RZ “On natural medicinal resources, healthcare and recreational areas and spas”.

Article 14 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Sanitary protection regime in healthcare and recreational areas and spas shall be performed in the first belt by managers, in the second and the third belts by managers, land tenants, land owners, lessees and residents”.

This Regional Act abolishes the Regional Agency for Parks and the Regional Agency for Soil Protection and provides for the rearrangement of administrative functions in this field. Subsequent amendments are laid down to regional provisions concerning the management of protected areas.

Condominium Property Act of 2010 (RPPL No. 8-19).

This Act provides for the recognition of the condominium form of ownership of real property and establishes rules for the creation, sale, and operation of condominiums, and for related purposes. It seeks to protect condominium ownership rights and define the legal relationship among the various parties involved in condominium development and ownership. The Act also establishes a set of guidelines by which owners make collective decisions and resolve conflicts.

These Regulations amend the Regulations in terms of the Deeds Registries Act by substituting regulation 16 and by amending provisions concerning, among other things, the description of land, immovable property in partnership deeds, land transferred pursuant to a will, partition in case of inheritance, servitudes and leases.
