Australian Waste Lands Act 1855.

The Act regulates the management of waste lands, it repeals the Acts of Parliament in force respecting the disposal of waste lands of the Crown of Her Majesty’s Australian Colonies. Under section 6, the existing regulations are maintained in force until altered.

This Regulation, consisting of 4 Parts completed by two schedules, contains provisions on licences under the Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control Act and on safety requirements for the aerial and ground distribution of agricultural chemicals.Part 2 regulates the examination process of any class of licence and specifies the reasons for refusing a licence (sects. 14-15) and for suspending or cancelling a licence (sects. 16 –19).Part 3 deals with security of the distribution operations, by land or air.

This Act provides for the claim and grant of land as Aboriginal land. It consists of 26 Parts divided into 309 sections.Section 10 defines what is to be intended as Aboriginal land and Part 3 on Formal expression of interest about land, provides for the procedures to be followed in granting transferable land and Aboriginal land.Part 4 on Grant of transferable land as Aboriginal land, contains dispositions on the claiming of land, while Part 5 on Claims for claimable land, regulates the granting of land as Aboriginal land.

Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control Act, 1966.

This Act, consisting of 7 Parts divided into 48 sections, makes provision with respect to the use of agricultural chemicals as defined by the AGVET Code which applies in force of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Queensland) Act 1994. Part 2 contains provisions dealing with matters of administration such as inspection and control and the continuing in existence of the Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control Board. Part 3 regulates distribution of pesticides from the air, whereas Part 4 concerns distribution from the ground.
