Maria Cristina Feliciano is a leader of the Mayangna people in Nicaragua, Founder of the Government of Mayangna Women, a women's structure protected by Law 28 of autonomy of the Indigenous Peoples of Nicaragua. She is the founder of MAYAKAT, a women's organization from her Matumbak territory, a professor at URACCAN University and an international advisor to the agenda of the Coordinator of Territorial Women Leaders of Mesoamerica of the Mesoamerican Alliance of Peoples and Forests.
