The Commission has been in the forefront of promoting good governance and accountability in the land sector. Progress in the land sector has been mixed. Through the effort of the government, support agencies and other stakeholders the Commission was able to devolve its function to the 47 counties through the County Land Management Boards (CLMBs).

The absence of a clearly defined land use policy in Kenya after years of independence has resulted in a haphazard approach to managing the different land use practices and policy responses. Land use continues to be addressed through many uncoordinated legal and policy frameworks that have done little to unravel the many issues that affect land use management.

The first changes of drained peat soils on the territory of the Republic of Belarus appeared after hydro technical amelioration in 60-70s of XX century. Nowadays the process of transformation of component composition of soil cover of old-reclaimed soils and increase of degradation of peat soil is going on.

This paper reports on research to evaluate the potential of Original Texas Land Survey (OTLS) to generate information that can be used to quantitatively map historical vegetation cover and analyse pertinent aspects of vegetation ecology. Research was conducted in Brazos County in east-central Texas. OTLS data are easy to acquire and convert to geo-referenced autecological information.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the method to know key issues which green infrastructure can help to improve and targeting score for the priorities by small areas of the city in Liverpool Green Infrastructure Strategy. As a result, the planning process is divided into three steps as follows. Step 1 identifies the strategic priorities for the city.

Crop classification within large agricultural regions is challenging owing to the presence of crops with similar phenological variation and intra-class variability. The development of efficient and simple classification methods is needed for more accurate mapping, monitoring, and analysis of land-use categories.
