This Act amends the Land Development Ordinance 1935 which aimed to provide for the systematic development and alienation of State Land in Sri Lanka. Under the amendements, the Government Agent shall not recover any fee for the registration of a permit (sect. 2). Every grant on which land is to be alienated shall contain the extent and description of the boundaries of such land.

The present Act governs the valuation of land in general and land covered by water in Nova Scotia. The Act lays down provisions relating, inter alia, to property liable to taxation and propert exempt from taxation, appointment of assessors, powers and duties of assessors, assessment roll. The text consists of 182 sections and 1 Schedule.

The Act makes provision for the adjudication and registration of rights and interests in land in areas declared to be adjudication area by the Minister. Land shall be adjudicated by an Adjudication Officer appointed by the Minister. The Minister shall also appoint Demarcation Officers, Recording Officers and Survey Officers. The Act sets out the principles and procedure of adjudication.

La presente Ley del impuesto sobre bienes inmuebles, tiene por objeto establecer en favor de las municipalidades un impuesto sobre los bienes inmuebles. Son objeto de este impuesto los terrenos, las instalaciones o las construcciones fijas y permanentes que allí existan.

The present Law lays down comprehensive provisions as to the functioning of the Land Registry of Brandenburg. Article 1 establishes that land registries have to be kept by the tribunals of first instance and that the relevant Land Registry Ordinance is to be applied. An Act to provide for the validation of a replacement register of native lands for Nikunau. The principal object of this Act is to enable the Government to establish a Land Commission which shall undertake to compile a replacement Register of Native Lands for Nikunau which has been destroyed. Section 3 imposes certain duties on the Commission when compiling the replacement register.

From the records or judgment, or order or decision of various specified courts, a Commission appointed under section 3 shall compile a replacement Register of native lands recording therein all titles to native lands, pits, ponds, fish traps and sea walls in South Tarawa.

This Chapter provides for certain matters relating to title in land. The owner of any land in American Samoa, not previously registered, may register his or her title thereto with the Territorial Registrar, but no title shall be registered unless the Registrar is satisfied that there is no conflicting claim thereto and unless the description clearly identifies the boundaries of the land.
