The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Order amends, in relation to England, the Town and Country Planning (General Development Procedure) Order 1995. The Order: modifies the consultation requirements in respect of applications under section 73 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to vary conditions attached to a previous permission; and amends the procedure for planning applications which are made for specified planning permissions.

The principal Act is amended by adding sections 43 to 58 so as to provide for enforcement notices that the Commissioner of Lands and Surveys may serve on any person that the Commissioner or any person to which section 3 applies is, is of the opinion that any person is contravening the terms and conditions of any grant, lease or licence or is wilfully failing to comply with any frontage lines as provided for in section 24 or any high water mark boundary as provided in section 28, or is otherwise contravening any other provisions of the principal Act or any Regulations made thereunder.
