An Act to authorize the Department of Public Safety to close public beaches; and for other purposes (P.L. No. 14-48).

This Act authorizes the Department of Public Safety to close public beaches during potentially hazardous circumstances. Beaches can be closed in case of natural disasters such as typhoons and other tropical storms and abnormal tidal waves and other extreme climatic or environmental conditions. No person shall use any public beach when a notice of closure has been published.

The present Agreement between the Länder Brandenburg and Berlin lays down provisions relating to matters concerning agriculture of both Länder. Article 1 establishes that the highest authority for agriculture of Brandenburg is also responsible for the implementation of the agricultural promotion programme of the European Union in the Land Berlin.

This Act amends the Foreshore and Land Reclamation Ordinance, Cap 35 in section 2 by adding definitions and in section 3 with respect to compensation by licence holders to landowners.This amendment is introduced so as to strengthen the recognition of customary rights over the foreshore of lands. Private rights over land expressly include customary rights to the exclusive use of the foreshore of Mauritius lands. Landowners are granted certain rights with respect to the granting of licences for the extraction of materials from the foreshore.

Directive 2007/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the assessment and management of flood risks.

This Directive sets out measures to reduce the risk of adverse effects associated with floods, with a view to protecting human health, the environment, cultural heritage and economic activities in general. It establishes a framework concerning the management and assessment of such flood risks. According to these provisions, all Member States must (i) undertake a preliminary flood risk assessment for each river basin district and for coastal areas; (ii) prepare flood hazard maps and flood risk maps; and (iii) elaborate flood risk management plans.

This Chapter concerns the procedures for the application for a permit “to excavate, fill or borrow” tidelands, defines traditional and customary rights of the people of the Chuuk State in respect of tidelands and the granting of (ownership) rights in respect of such land by the State to people of Chuuk. Tidelands within the meaning of the Chuuk Constitution are those marine lands from the shore to the face of the reef that are shallow enough for traditional fishing activity by women.

Chapter 4 of Title 67 of the Trust Territory Code - Subdivision of Public Land.

This Chapter lays down rules relative to the division of public lands. It specifies powers and duties of the Chief of Lands and Surveys regarding the subdivision of public land and in particular lands that are adjacent to the sea or tidal areas. Reasonable public access shall be secured in public areas to be subdivided or offered for sale.

Chapter 5 of Title 42 of the Pohnpei State Code - Planned Development Zone.

This Chapter concerns the development of a part of Pohnpei declared to be Planned Development Zone. It grants powers to the Public Lands Trust Board of Trustees to enter into lease and use agreements for development stated in line with the integrated development goals of the Pohnpei Government. Development shall be limited to coastal structures for fisheries and tourism.

Chapter 7 of Title 42 of the Pohnpei State Code - Public Access.

This Chapter establish rules for securing public access to areas that are public lands and that are subject to subdivision into smaller parcels, tracts or lots for sale, lease, homestead, exchange or allocated for any other purposes or any public land abutting the sea or tidal areas that is proposed to be sold, leased, homesteaded , exchanged or allocated. The Board of Trustees shall have the power to promulgate Rules and Regulations, subject to the approval of the Governor, to implement the provisions of this Chapter. Such Rules and Regulations will have the force and effect of law.

Chapter 8 of Title 42 of the Pohnpei State Code - Marine Areas.

This Chapter confirms, with certain exceptions, law established during the Japanese administration which declared all marine areas below the ordinary high watermark to belong to the government. Certain customary rights to place and maintain fish weirs or traps are re-established. Other exceptions concern customary rights of owners of land abutting the ocean to collect coconuts and other materials and fishing rights on, and in waters over reefs where the general depth of water does not exceed four feet at mean low water.

El presente Decreto aprueba el Reglamento a la Ley de Catastro Nacional, que tiene bajo su competencia la ejecución y mantenimiento del catastro y la creación de un registro catastral mediante los procedimientos técnicos y tecnológicos de que disponga, y tendrá a cargo la función de calificación e inscripción de planos de agrimensura.
