This Law is composed of 4 Chapters divided into 25 articles. Chapter I deals with definitions and terms and defines the steps for the concession and exploitation of State lands. Chapter II provides for the definition of private State lands, concession rights, exploitation rights, ownership transfer and land leasing. Chapter III contains offences and penalties.

This Law aims to manage and develop the pasture by identifying the areas of rough grazing, planning the grazing according to scientific bases, protecting the natural vegetation, conserving water resources and organizing their use, and conducting studies and researches for the protection of rough grazing.

This Act makes provision with respect to local government in the Fiji Islands and for this purpose provides for the establishment of local government councils, defines their functions and powers and contains rules to their election, functioning and administration. The Act also establishes a Local Government Committee.

This Act adopts for Norfolk island the Trustee Act 1925 of the State of New South Wales, as amended, subject to such modifications and adaptations as re prescribed. Judicial power or function as set out in the Trustee Act 1925 shall, in relation to Norfolk Island, be vested in and exercised by the Supreme Court. The Act grants regulation-making powers to the Administrator.

This Act provides for the imposition of an annual levy on land owned by an absentee (as defined by this Act. The levy shall be charged on the unimproved value of the land, i.e.
