These Regulations provide for exemption from the provisions of section 45, Land Act, 1965, the beneficiaries of the five Directives of the European Communities on certain rights of establishment on land so as to implement these Directives on accession of Ireland to the European Communities.

These Regulations exclude from the provisions of Section 45, Land Act, 1965, the "non-municipal" towns specified in Part II of the First Schedule to the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963, the boundaries of these towns having been fixed by the respective planning authorities.

The present Regulation implements the Agricultural Tile Drainage Installation Act (R.S.O. 1990, Chapter A.14). In particular, it lays down the terms and conditions required to install drainage works. Furthermore, it establishes classes for machine operators. The text consists of 16 sections.

This Regulation lays down certain amendments and addenda to Regulation No. 230 of 1991 on the establishment of land commissions, with respect to their composition.

This Regulation establishes the Governmental Land Commission and temporary land commissions in district and villages. The Governmental Land Commission is a collective body under the authority of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, whose composition is to be determined by the Council of Ministers. Its main responsibility is the implementation of land legislation in force.

The Regulations implement the Land Administration Act.

The Regulations provide for the Tribunal and Related Matters (Part I); concerning application to and procedures before the Tribunal, and General (Part II) concerning the use of roads in concessions, fees and the revocation of concessions.

The Regulations provide for Site Advisory Committees, to inspect and make recommendations as to the suitability of land that is proposed to be acquired. It further contains provisions, inter alia, regarding offences, allocation of land acquired under the Act, execution of leases and licences granted in respect of land acquired under the Act, references to the Tribunal.

The areas set out in the Schedule are designated as registration areas in terms of the Land Registry Act. (2 articles)

Regulation No.9 of the principal regulations is amended in respect of the price of Crown lands.

These Regulations provide, inter alia, for the register of Crown grants, the sale of Crown lands, agricultural lease, applications, the price of Crown lands, and squatters. A Crown Lands Officer, reponsible for duties assigned by the Administrator in Council or the Crown Surveyor, shall be appointed under regulation 3.
