Interdepartmental Commission on Gravitation Metering is set up for examination and decision-making regarding issues concerning gravitation metering on the territory of the Russian Federation, its continental shelf, Exclusive Economic Zone and World Ocean. Interdepartmental Commission on Gravitation Metering is entitled to carry out the following tasks: a). elaboration and forwarding to the ministries and institutions concerned recommendations regarding priority issues in the field of study of the gravitation field of the Earth for the purpose of geodesy, geophysics, geology and national defence and the proposals regarding financing; b). determination of the modalities of the use of gravitation metering data necessary for the realization of international scientific projects and programs in the field of geodesy.
