Articles 6, 9, 14, 30 have either been amended or new paragraphs have been added. The present Law also amends new articles of the Village Law of 1924, the Law on Natural Disasters 1959, and the Tourism Incentives Act of 1982. The formation of the technical teams is re-defined. The in-forest pastures and grazelands are re-defined by a committee set up by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and cannot be used for any other purposes unless their allocation purposes are modified.
These Regulations amend the principal Regulations, which provide for payments of aid to be made to any person who enters into an undertaking with the Scottish Ministers to comply with the general environmental requirements set out in Schedule 1 and to carry out, or as the case may be, to carry out and maintain, at least one of either the management activities set out in Schedule 2 or the capital activities set out in Schedule 3 to the principal Regulations. Schedule 4 to the principal Regulations makes provision for rates of payment for management and capital activities.
These Regulations provide rules relative to the keeping of bovine animal, swine, sheep, goat or horse for purposes of soil conservation. Regulation 5 places restriction on the importing animals.
These Regulations provide for sanctions and measures against unlawful trespass and occupation of land.
The objective of this Regulation is to define the methods and principles of implementing Pasture Law No 4342. Grazing capacities are determined by the local branches of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Pastures can be leased to farmers involved in animal husbandry for a period of 25 years. These farmers are obliged to implement rehabilitation plans, management plans, and grazing plans prepared by the Ministry.
