This Decree sets forth provisions on land classification, cadastral information system, change in the category of agricultural land and pastures, change in the category of lands affected by radioactive and chemical contamination and degraded by natural hazards, expansion of lands in forests and protected areas, and the procedures and principles for the change in the category of land. This Decree shall apply to agricultural land under the condition that the intended purpose does not change.

El objetivo fundamental del Programa de Acción Nacional contra la Desertificación (PAND) es contribuir al logro del desarrollo sostenible de las zonas áridas, semiáridas y subhúmedas secas del territorio nacional y, en particular, la prevención o la reducción de la degradación de las tierras, la rehabilitación de tierras parcialmente degradadas y la recuperación de tierras desertificadas.

La presente Ley tiene por objeto establecer las acciones, normas, y procedimientos para el manejo del fuego, prevención y lucha contra incendios, en áreas rurales y forestales e interface (donde se conjugan parte rural e infraestructura) en el ámbito del territorio de la Provincia de Buenos Aires. La Ley asimismo define las competencias de los Municipios (tales como elaborar los Planes Locales de Prevención contra incendios Forestales o Rurales) y crea el Fondo de Prevención y Lucha contra Incendios en Áreas Forestales y/o Rurales.
