The Youth Agribusiness Strategy is a sectoral national strategy of Kenya for the period of 2017-2021. Its main objective is to address challenges that hinder youth from participating effectively in the sector.The Strategy also seeks to make agriculture more productive and sustainable.

The Seventh National Development Plan (7NDP) for the period 2017-2021 is the successor to the Revised Sixth National Development Plan, 2013-2016 (RSNDP). Since 2009, insecurity in the North-East of Nigeria has led to the loss of over 20,000 lives and the displacement of over two million people. Throughout the region livelihoods have been disrupted, and homes, public buildings and infrastructure destroyed. In a part of Nigeria where 80 percent of people rely on agriculture for their livelihoods, much has been lost.

This policy brief presents the main findings of a situational analysis and assessment of women’s and youth’s ability to access community land in Turkana County, Kenya, with a focus on their rights.
