The Government decrees to supplement the Ministerial Decree No.1223 of 1997 with the following paragraph: "State Committee on Housing and Construction Policy and State Committee on Land Resources and Land Survey must at the earliest possible date elaborate and validate methodical documentation for the calculation of the normative size of the plots of land within condominiums".

This Regulation refers to the land measurements in certificates of title and provides for the conversion of measurements expressed in Canadian Units into the International System of Units (sect. 5). The Regulation also authorizes the Registrar to issue new certificates in both measurement systems (sect. 6).

Under this Regulation, a “name search” means a search of the register for the purpose of determining registered ownership interests, if any, in land of a person registered in the register (sect. 1). The Regulation provides a list of criteria that must be fulfilled before a name search can be carried out by the Registrar.

Article 4 of Directive 91/676/EEC requires Member States to establish a code or codes of good agricultural practice with the aim of providing for all waters a general level of protection against pollution. The present Decree, in implementation of such provision, lays down the code of good agricultural practice.

This Order of the President, made under section 16(1) of the State Land (Regularisation of Tenure) Act, 1998, empowers the Land Settlement Chairman with the execution of Deeds of Lease and with the granting of consent to assignments pursuant to section 15 of the Act on behalf of the President.

The Regulation provides for the recognition of traditional land rights acquired by a community of people who derives their living by cultivating or otherwise disposing of that very land and they shall be entitled to those rights as per the application of local traditional law.

The present Ministerial Decree establishes regulatory value of the plots of land on which are situated the state enterprises subject to privatization. The aforesaid plots of land shall be divided in two categories: (a) plots of land under constructions and infrastructure; (b) vacant plots of land. The national territory shall be categorized in twelve zones according to zoning practice.

The purpose of this Decree is to prescribe matters necessary for the enforcement of the Soil Environment Conservation Act.The Minister of Environment shall formulate a basic plan for soil conservation and a regional soil conservation plan (art. 4).

The present Regulation implements the Ordinance of 16 November 1994 on contributions for the protection of agricultural land. Part 1 establishes the specific competence of the various authorities and offices dealing with the subject matter.
